OBJECTIVE
Create an identity and branding systems for a city.

PROCESS
Chicago has always been one of my favorite cities to visit. It's a city with a lot to offer, and more livable than many other large cities in the US. At the time of this project, I had been reading about Chicago's Green Roofs Projects and thought this would be an interesting point to highlight. Of the dozens of people I interviewed to get a better idea of why others favored the city, I found that 9 out of 10 people loved the cultural diversity of Chicago. From that, I tried to relate the attitude and perspective of Chicago's people with the city's visual attributes.

VISION
Chicago is built of diversity thru its strong international business role. This diversity is what gives Chicago its pulse of life. Looking towards better ways of living, the downtown’s renaissance and planting of heat-reducing, energy-saving rooftop gardens has earned the city national recognition. This fresh graphic identity will honor the cultural roots that built the Chicago of today, while spotlighting the city’s vision of tomorrow. Chicago is a city that is making it work, better.
